Enterprise Data Architect - Contract £650-£725 per day - Solihull Urgent - Immediate start required Contract to end of March initially, with project scope for extensions. Role Summary Championing data architecture standards that support the design, development, implementation and management of the organisations data. Responsibilities will include the ownership of a Data Architecture Framework that drives the standard in how data is stored, processed and integrated across platforms to drive effective consumption for reporting, insight and analytics. Key responsibilities: Be a key member of helping to support a data architecture framework that drives reusability and standardisation across the organisation. Build a detailed understanding of industry data flows to support effective data model design for reporting, analytics and insight. Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models. Work closely with consumers to understand user journeys to ensure data is being stored, processed and consumed in the most effective ways to create value for customers. Drive forward the creation and maintenance of key artefacts including Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Model Functional Specifications, Technical Design, Data Catalogues and Dictionaries.Required skills: Expert knowledge of data modelling techniques (OLTP and OLAP) Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing design (Kimball and Inmon). Previous experience using a range of Data Modelling toolsets such as Erwin and IBM InfoSphere. Strong background across a range of established and emerging technologies that support the provision of data (e.g. Big Data, Data Lakes, RDBMS's, API's etc.) Strong understanding of Business Intelligence tools that support data orchestration. Knowledge of GDPR and the impacts this has on data modelling. Ability to assess and evaluate the impact of change on existing technical platforms. Background of SAP data models and SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Background in Azure Data Platforms - Azure DW, DL etc.Applications Please apply as soon as possible by submitting your CV.
